Week 5| Adventures in Hyrule
Moblins, Bokoblins, and Like Likes. Oh my!
I feel I should give the disclaimer that I am not a gamer. I’m don’t have the hand eye coordination to play video games well. I don’t know many games. What I do know comes from those around me who play.
Anyone who’s ever dated someone who is into video games knows you kinda get pulled into their world. This is where Zelda comes in. Over the last few months, I’ve seen enough videos to know how invested the fans are, heard enough theories about the newest game to form some of my own, and even beat one of the easier games (with the help of Z). Most importantly, I now know that Zelda is the princess and Link is the pint sized hero I always thought was the game’s namesake.
Yesterday, the latest Zelda game, Tears of the Kingdom released. I tried to stay awake long enough to watch Z play and discover things in the game. What ended up happening was me dozing off for a bit and then waking up periodically to ask him what he had accomplished. Each time I awoke, he was in a different part of the map or had new armor/weapons.
From what I’ve seen, it’s a beautiful game with lots of color and awesome graphics. I’m excited to see what how the game progresses and maybe even play a bit myself. Who knows, maybe TOTK will be the next video game I complete :)
